Semester is Over!

It feels like the semester has just began but it's over. This English course was very good and I had alot of fun. It's very diffcult to say goodbye to a great teacher and classmates. The overall course wa great but I didn't like the blog idea because it had no benefit. I was happy that we had no done any poetry but i really liked writing my own short story. It was a way to get my creative writing out. The teacher was great and I would giver her about 8/10 as an evaluation mark. She had taught the class really well and i belive we learned a lot from her teachings. overall the semseter was great and i had learned may things. Goodbye!!!

What is it to be a Man?

What is a man mean today? Today a man is judged by is apperance and muscular body shape. The article has some points that I agreed with and others which I found not to be true. To me a man is someone who never gives up on what he believes and always takes car of hIs family.

In our modern society a man is expected to be rich, have a muscular arms and attractive looks. The media have influnced the minds of people to execpt a man with there qualities. The media has also portrayed a man to be in charge and can do things what women cannot.

Looking at my opinions man does not need to have any of these qualties. A " real" man is someone that is responsible of his actions, taking care of his kids and make sures that his kid have a good life.

When looking at the play Macbeth, a man is someone who is brutal and brave in battle. This view of a man is still present in today's society. The idea of a real man has never changed in history.

Lastly, people must recgonize that a man should be caring and show lovie toward his family. These qualties make up a real man and the " media man" is just a fake image.

Whose Fault is It?

The play Macbeth has a key tragic incident that invloved killing King Duncan. Many people have their own views on who's falut it was. I believed that it was truly the three witches that caused Macbeth to kill the king.

Maceth was praised by many people for his bravey and loyalty to the king. Macbeth never had the intention of murduring anyone for his sake. His mind was not clouded with evil thoughts until he met the three witches.

When Macbeth had met the three withces, his mind and actions had changed. His formal self was banished and evil had ran through him. The prohpecy he heard from the witches made him kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth was just a second voice that convinced him to kill.

Before Macbeth had encountered the witches, he trusted everyone and specially his best friend Banquo. They were both true friends until the prophcies were told. Later on Macbeth was worried about Banquo's prophecy and eventually killed him.

Many people look at it that it was Macbeth's fault, but it was truly the witches. If Macbeth had not heard of theses prophecies, the tragic incidents would have never occured.

In conclusion, the three witches played a key factor of Macbeth's killing spree. Macbeth was a good and loyal person before hearing the three prophecies about him becoming king. People do anyting to get what they want!

The allure of prophecy

We have been reading the play Macbeth and have discussed about prophecies. For example the one with the three witches in act 1 of the play Macbeth. They tell Macbeth the three prophecies which eventually become true.

The class was introduced to a modern day witch named Sylvia Browne who makes predictions about others. She is a famous psychic that had been on the show called Montel. I don’t believe that she can make predictions about others or the world in general. Her predictions are to big for example some glaciers will be breaking up at rapid speed; we are in a "polar tilt" tornadoes in odd places. More volcanoes everywhere erupting, flooding in the south, earthquakes and tsunamis. Science has proved this as global warming which was discovered couple years back.

Which analyzing her 2007 predictions, Sylvia was not even close or her predations were too big. Her charge is too expensive and is a waste of time. I believe that when you know your future/ prophecy, you would do anything to obtain it. This changes the whole prophecy because your taking matters in you own hands. A good example was when Macbeth met the witches who made him kill the king. I think its better to not know you future and let it be a secret.

In conclusion I believe that Sylvia is a fake and that this is just a money scheme to get rich. I believe no one should know their future because it’s for you to make and not some physic to decide for you. I hope these two video I posted helps prove my point about her being a fraud!
